California strawberries were 1/2 price, so I doubled the recipe – which I followed slavishly, even to the point of using coconut sugar. This was my first S-R crumble, and my wife said it was the best she’d ever had, and we had to put the recipe in “the book”. I guess I’ll have to harvest that rhubarb throughout the summer…next year.

I added my own twist…sliced almonds and an English Spice Blend ( allspice, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger) to the crumble topping. To the fruit, I added chopped crystalized ginger. Delicious!
